Listen, we really love food, love Vancouver, love people. So we thought “Let’s combine our three loves!". And Salchicha was born. Our menu is eclectic on purpose: we grew up with influences from Israel, North Africa, and Morocco. Grandma was a master chef and made stick-to-your-ribs kinda food with spice combinations that literally wowed crowds. There were a lotta dropped jaws. And a lotta happy bellies. She promised to teach us all of her secrets but first we had to learn to respect and honour the ingredients. So we shelled chick peas, pitted dates, and ground almonds after school. And when it was time, she showed us, carefully, not only how to cook but also how to infuse passion and authenticity into every meal. We hope you leave stuffed and happy!
Salchicha means sausage in Spanish named after our famous homemade Maraguez sausages. We have started our restaurant as a premium meat panini bar and as to customer requests we have expanded our menu. Our famous dishes include homemade traditional merguez sausages, beef kebab, moroccan couscous, hummus and we ferment unique vegetables and carry a line of delicious traditional homemade sauces to make your experience more enjoyable.
